Our stay in Recco was incredible — we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. The area is beautiful, with amazing food and activities nearby, and the elevated terrain makes for great walks (the pool was perfect for cooling off afterward). Above all, you can really tell Paolo cares about his guests — his hospitality made the whole trip even better. We’re already planning our return. Highly recommend!

Sehr schöne große alte Villa im typischen ligurischen Stil. Sehr gepflegt, man fühlt sich mehr als Gast in einem Familienhaus als in einem Ferienhaus. Das Haus ist voller privater Erinnerungen an Wänden und auf den Möbeln. Die Küche ist mit sehr vielen elektrischen Geräten ausgestattet: Zwei Kaffeemaschinen (Espresso und Filter-Durchlauf), Waffeleisen, Heißluft Fritteuse, etc. Auch alle wichtigen Gewürze und Basis-Lebensmittel sind wunderbar vorhanden. Die Mikrowelle konnten wir nicht benutzen. Man sollte gut zu Fuß sein, um zum Haus zu gelangen (steiler Anstieg) und alle Schlafzimmer sind in den beiden Obergeschossen. Sehr schöne Aussicht von der Terrasse. Der Pool ist eher ein großes Planschbecken und zumindest für Erwachsene zum Schwimmen nicht geeignet. Wir haben ihn nicht benützt, da es im April zu kalt war. Sehr viel Geschirr und Besteck, deshalb auch für große Gruppen sehr gut geeignet. Zwei Spülmaschinen. Paolo ist ein sehr herzlicher und hilfreicher Gastgeber.

Paolo is a wonderful host, very helpful, knowledgeable and communicative, and a really nice guy. The house is fantastic, very large and spacious with great inside and outside space, comfortable bedrooms, a great pool, and spectacular views of the ocean. the area between Recco and Camogli is beautiful and great to explore. We would very happily return.

This is a magnificent and spacious villa where we felt very at home. It has all the comforts needed and the swimming pool in the beautiful garden is a big plus.
Recco is such a great location with lovely people, good restaurants and many things to do. We liked that it was not overcrowded with tourists and had a great local feel.
Paolo is a fantastic and responsive host who was available throughout our stay. He was very helpful in guiding us with advice and assisting with restaurant reservations, booking excursions and anything else we needed.
We wish we had more time here and would therefore definitely want to return.

The Villa is a perfect example of "the golden age" villas of the area in which you feel the luxury of other times. The views are incredible and the garden perfectly groomed. Kitchen, living room are not only very nice but also well fitted. All rooms have a view over the sea.
The Villa is situated between Recco (5-10 Min.) and Camogli (15-20 Min.) so that you can reach both villages by foot. There are even some beaches in walking distances.
During the days we stayed we fell in love as well with the region as Villa Degli Ulivi. No question that we will come back and continue our nice talks Paolo who was helpfull at anytime. Thank you so much, Paolo!

What a a beautiful place in a magical location. We enjoyed every minute in the home and it's gorgeous gardens and the view was beyond words.
We definitely plan to be back later this year and again next year.

Vi hadde en fantastisk uke i Villa degli Ulivi. Dette stedet ligger med gåavstand til både Recco og Camogli slik at man kan oppsøke de ulike tettstedene etter behov. Her får man det beste fra Liguria kysten.
Paolo er en fem stjerners vert som er svært hjelpsom og svarer rask på praktiske spørsmål. Både før(!) og under oppholdet. Eksempelvis tilbød han å booke solsenger på stranden for oss for første dagen da vi forespurte om tilgjengelighet på dette i Recco. Bassenget er et fantastisk samlingspunkt for solrike dager ved huset og middag på kveldene byr på nydelig utsikt og solnedgang. Anbefaler også slakteren Gianni for svært gode råvarer. Både huset og Paolo anbefales på det sterkeste. Vi kommer gjerne tilbake!

There are no words to adequately describe how amazing our stay was!! From the moment we booked our stay, Paolo began hosting. When he met us at the villa the day of arrival it was like meeting family. His villa is breathtaking and even better in person! Paola went above and beyond each and every day to make sure we were taken care of and enjoying our stay. He and his villa are one of a kind and we are so thankful for our visit. We didn’t want to leave but we will most definitely be back soon!! Magnifico!!!!

Paolo could not have been more accommodating. His family house has spectacular views and it is a nice walk to the beach promenade in Recco as well as the lovely historic center of Camogli! Paolo even went so far as to drive us to our family reunion and back! His hospitality was beyond kind and generous! We hope to return some day!

Paolo is a wonderfully friendly host who is always available for questions about everything! He arranges restaurant reservations, shows the way to the flower shop and the butcher. Villa degli Ulivi is also a wonderful little palace where our family celebrated two birthdays. Thank you for everything! Paolo is highly recommended.

We had the absolute best time at Villa Degli Ulivi - Paolo made the villa feel like we were staying with family and was truly a host throughout our entire stay, from booking dinner reservations to transportation to activities. The villa is easily walkable to both Recco (10 mins) and to Camogli (20ish mins). It truly was a wonderful experience with a wonderful host! We will be back! Many thanks to Paolo.

Completely fantastic villa and host! This wonderful historic typical Ligurian villa is beautiful, comfortable and in a stunning setting. You arrive to a scrupulously clean home where you have everything you need and more. The kitchen is extremely well equipped. And there is a super wood fired outdoor bbq. All of the bedrooms are excellently appointed and have their own bathrooms. The pool is very welcome on a hot day. The best of all is the stunning view and enjoying this every evening. Paolo himself is charming and super helpful; let him guide you on suggestions for activities and restaurants you will never be disappointed. We can highly recommend the private chef evening at the villa and also a boat trip! We had a perfect week here with our friends and will return for sure. Grazie Paolo!

We really loved the house and we will definitely look to return next year. The setting is incredibly beautiful and we were sorry not to have longer there. Paolo is an excellent host and his house is stylish and comfortable. Camogli which is nearby is dreamy and we enjoyed great meals locally.

Paulo welcomed us, going above and beyond to ensure we had the perfect stay. He kindly collected our relatives from the train station near by, advised which local restaurants are the best in town (which did not disappoint at all!) and was available at all times for any queries we had. The facilities were amazing, including the pool table and swimming pool, which us and the children loved, and which was kept immaculately clean, as well as the breathtaking views of Recco and the whole coast, especially as the sun was setting in the evenings. Overall, an incredible summer holiday with the best host, would definitely recommend to everyone.

Paolo was an absolutely fantastic and responsive host. Attentive to all needs and very accommodating to our requests for recommendations. On one occasion we were left without a taxi, and Paolo offered to pick us up so we did not have to walk too far with our small children.
It was a delight and very special experience to make memories with our small children in a house that our host also made memories with his family.
The town was safe, easily accessible to all locations we wanted via a 10-15 minute walk. Pool was refreshing after a long day sightseeing.

If you are looking to travel to this region, look no further. This house is beautiful. The view, alone, makes it the perfect place. It is also walkable to two towns, and walkable from
the train station. The bedrooms have AC, for the warmer months. Lastly, Paolo is a fantastic host. His level of hospitality is unmatched.

Paolo’s Villa degli Ulivi is a special spot, and Paolo is a warm, friendly, outstanding host. Arriving by car might be tricky without Paolo’s clear instructions - but once done the first time, it’s simple. Check in was super with all the necessary explanations and recommendations, and Paolo followed up throughout the stay - including a bottle of delicious local wine and fresh focaccia for breakfast on our final day!! The villa is truly splendid - very spacious, furnished like you might imagine a beautiful old Italian villa to be set up. So much character. Easily sleeps 4 couples. The views are magnificent, and the outdoor garden and terrace are wonderful spots to enjoy the evening sunsets. We cooked in a couple of times, and the kitchen is very well equipped - with crockery, utensils and cooking basics (oil, vinegars, etc…) Camogli is a 5 min drive and is fabulous town - amazing spot. Lots of other things to do too - walk to San Fruttuoso, etc… we will return for sure. Loved our stay!

Paolo's huis ligt op een adembenemende locatie. Ik kwam op zondagmiddag aan. De stuilte van die avond werd onderstreept door de kerkklokken die klonken vanuit Recco. Adembenemend en een schitterende ervaring. Het zwembad is erg fijn. En het meubilair is zeer comfortabel. De airconditioning is prima en er zijn ruime badkamers en slaapkamers. Bovendien kun je vanuit dit huis prachtige hotspots in de omgeving bezoeken. Paolo is erg vriendelijk en hij staat altijd voor je klaar, indien je dat wenst.

Paolo was the quintessential host. He welcomed our family as his own. Even before we arrived his communication was always prompt and so helpful. Villa Degli Ulivi was as gorgeous as the pictures, well stocked with anything you would need. The pool, air conditioning, view, and yard were extra special and so centrally located. Paolo went above and beyond helping us with rides, reservations, suggestions and oh my…. completing our last night with the chef cooking at the house. We loved seeing Camogli and spent the day at the bagni lido. So much to see and do. This vacation ranks in the top 3 of any trips we have taken, thanks to Paolo.

This place is wonderful. We had 5 adults and a toddler in our group and we all thoroughly enjoyed our time here. The views are incredible, the outdoor space is great, and the villa is very comfortable. Paolo went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing time. He is a gem. The villa is a 10-15 minute walk to town. If you have children, there is a nice playground in town that our little one really enjoyed. I definitely recommend staying here!

Paolo was very kind with us. He picked us up from the station and drove us back when the weekend was over. He is a lovely host and always willing to help. The house is even better than the pictures, incredible view and architecture. The house is also fully equipped which is very comfortable. Would 100% recommend this amazing Villa.

I have never had such a WONDERFUL host as Paolo! He is caring, attentive, friendly, communicates promptly, and took care of all our needs throughout our stay. He provided thoughtful extras, such as taking and picking us up from the train station, arranging for taxis, and helping us know the best way to get around the area. His villa is well-stocked and even better than the pictures! It is breathtakingly beautiful, and the views of Recco and the sea are absolutely stunning. The grounds and gardens are exquisite! I did NOT want to leave! Paolo told us about some of the history of the villa and the area, since my great-grandmother was from Recco. Our family felt completely welcome and at home, and Paolo feels like family! Our stay was a dream come true, thanks to Paolo!
